Hi, I’m Molly, a passionate literacy advocate and researcher dedicated to enhancing reading experiences for learners of all ages.
My career in education began as a middle school teacher in Oakland with Teach For America. I hold a doctorate in reading education from the University of Virginia, where I served as the director of the McGuffey Reading Center. I spent 16 years as a university professor; I am a prolific researcher and writer; I have written four books and numerous articles in top-tiered educational journals. In 2019, I created the End Book Deserts podcast, and in 2022 created the Coalition for Literacy Equity.

Janhvi M. Kanoria
Director of EAA Foundation's Innovation Development
Janhvi is the Director of Innovation at Education Above All, a global foundation reaching 16 million out-of-school children. Her passion lies in designing solutions that advance quality learning solutions for the world’s most marginalized.
In her previous roles in the Ministry of Education and Qatar Foundation, she was responsible for conceiving multiple creative solutions including Teach for Qatar, a national literacy and numeracy program, an innovative future school and interdisciplinary impact models for the university ecosystem. She has contributed to global publications including for OECD, World Bank, UNESCO: Future of Education, INEE and 3 Harvard books amongst others. She is an active participant in international education consortia and in platforms including in the World Bank Evoke Program, on the MIT Solve Challenge Leadership Group, as a TedX speaker, a Salzburg Global Fellow, for the WISE Awards and HundrED-spotlight jury. She serves on the board for Mantra4Change, an Indian NGO serving 50 million learners.
She received a M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the mother of two spirited young girls and enjoys classical dance, music, reading and sport in her spare time.
Henry Warren
Co-Founder of Caterpillar Captions and Turn On The Subtitles
Henry is a multi-award winning innovation expert and entrepreneur specialising in Education Technology. He is the co-founder & Chairman of the African education company Watobe and sits on the boards of several other charities and companies – almost always around education and technology.
He’s the former Director of Innovation for Pearson plc and the former Head of Innovation for GEMS as well as an advisor to His Highness The Aga Khan’s schools. Prior to that, he founded the school’s network Rafiki and the charity Gemin-i.
He’s a dad of three and is the alter ego of Barry T Tooth Fairy. Henry holds one of the more stupid Guinness world records involving sumo wrestlers and has also rafted the Nile holding a London traffic cone for reasons best known to himself.
Josh Clark
Head of School
Josh Clark is the Headmaster at Landmark School, which specialzies in dyslexia. He is the Chair of the International Dyslexia Association and expert contributor to Made by Dyslexia. Josh presents about dyslexia and AI all over, including Lincoln Center, the Swedish Royal Palace and with Richard Branson on Necker Island.
Sonali Nag
Sonali Nag is Professor of Psychology and Education and the lead for the Language, Cognition and Development theme in the Department of Education, University of Oxford. She is the Education Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford and Honorary Associate of the Indian charity, The Promise Foundation, Bangalore.
Trained in psychology, and with inter-disciplinary research interests, Sonali investigates child learning within diverse settings. Her research is comparative with a focus on languages, writing systems, cultural settings and levels of socio-economic status. She uses a wide variety of methods including quasi-experimental and controlled trials, in-depth child assessments, psycholinguistic and corpora analysis, secondary data analysis, and narrative reviews. Her work seeks to develop a grounded understanding of child development. Within the field of language and literacy, she has authored evidence briefs, technical reports, peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. Her most recent co-edited volume is titled Global Variations in Literacy Development.
