Contact Us World Literacy Summit

The Summit brings together leaders from 85 countries representing over two-thirds of the world’s population, and all with a single focus – advocating, championing and educating on the vital importance of improving literacy levels across the globe. It’s the world’s largest gathering of international literacy specialists, including NGO leaders, researchers, academics, literacy entrepreneurs, education companies, publishers, practitioners, government representatives and most importantly the learners themselves. We will have over 600 delegates at the Summit and a further 40,000 people watching via our webinars. It is a four-day global event, comprising of insight and inspiration from pioneers, policy makers, and experts. Many of the sessions are facilitated by the very people who are dealing first-hand with the issues presented. This is the fourth Summit hosted biannually by the World Literacy Foundation, a leading international charity in the literacy sector with a commitment to building a literate world. Where is the conference? The conference will be held at Oxford University, United Kingdom. Who should attend the WLS 2023? WLS welcomes people from every part of the world who are passionate about global literacy, including NGO leaders, government representatives, researchers, academics and teachers, literacy entrepreneurs, education companies, reading specialists, literacy coaches, college/university faculty, school administrators, librarians, and most important the learners themselves. I have never attended a WLS before. What should I expect?

The World Literacy Summit is a space for delegates to collaborate, share ideas, and discuss knowledge between some of the world’s most ardent literacy and educational leaders, institutions, organisations, and pioneers.
