Literacy Council Coordinator, Sheboygan Literacy Council
Shannon Schuren is the Literacy Council Coordinator for Sheboygan County, where she supports volunteers working with adult learners. She also coordinates a classroom program for refugees that focuses on removing barriers to language acquisition. As the author of three young-adult books, she has a passion for literacy and life-long learning.
The World Literacy Summit is an Initiative of the World Literacy Foundation, a global nonprofit organisation that works to ensure every young individual regardless of geographic location has the opportunity to acquire literacy and reading skills to reach their full potential, succeed at school and beyond.
