Portuguese National Reading Plan Director
Regina Duarte holds a PhD in Literacies and Literature Teaching, has coordinated Portuguese education in the UK, founded the Anglo-Portuguese School of London, co-authored studies on reading and was honored as Commander of the Order of Public Instruction. Serves as Commissioner of the National Reading Plan and National Education Counselor.
The World Literacy Summit is an Initiative of the World Literacy Foundation, a global nonprofit organisation that works to ensure every young individual regardless of geographic location has the opportunity to acquire literacy and reading skills to reach their full potential, succeed at school and beyond.
