Alda Maria Coimbra Aguilar Maciel is a Researcher and Professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. She has done research and written papers on the teaching and learning of multiliteracies, especially critical visual literacy, which are her main areas of study.
